Recipe for 2 smaller glasses or one large glass:
Base: Chia Pudding:
Ingredients:
- 4 TBS chia seeds
- 1 – 1.5 cup almond/hemp/coconut milk (depending on how thick you would like it)
- 1 TBS honey/maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract/powder
Method:
- Mix all ingredients together in a bowl and divide into 2 smaller glasses or one large glass/bowl. Set aside/place in fridge while preparing top layer
Top layer: Fruity Smoothie (2 variations – choose either/or)
Berry Delicious
Ingredients:
- 1 cup frozen berries (I used a mix of blueberries and raspberries)
- 1 cup almond/hemp/coconut milk
- 2-3 dates
- 1 tsp vanilla extract/powder
- 1 TBS nut butter (I used Macadamia)
- optional boost: dash of cinnamon and/or superfoods such as Maca/Lucuma powder
Tropical Treat
Ingredients:
- 1 cup frozen pineapple
- 1 mango, peeled
- 1 peach
- 1 cup almond/hemp/coconut milk
- 2 dates
- 1/4 cup desiccated/flaked coconut (unsweetened)
- optional: 1 TBS nut butter (I used Macadamia)
- optional boost: 2 TBS hemp seeds and/or ¼ tsp turmeric powder
Method:
- Place all ingredients for berry/tropical smoothie in blender and blend until smooth.
- Pour on top of chia pudding. Keep in fridge or enjoy straight away with a topping of choice:
- Top with granola, coconut and/or fruit such as berries, granadilla, goji berries etc
NB: Play around with quantities to suit personal taste eg: add more/less chia pudding to the smoothie, or add your favourite smoothie instead
