Salted Carob Almond Smoothie with Chia Pudding. Sooo delicious! Looks indulgent but it is completely good for you 😉
For the chia pudding: in a glass, mix 3 TBS chia seeds with 1/4 – 1/2 cup almond milk (can add natural sweetener and vanilla to taste). Stir and set aside for 5-10min.
Meanwhile, prepare the smoothie: blend 2 frozen bananas, 1 cup almond milk, 1-2 TBS almond butter, 2 dates, 2 heaped TBS carob powder, large pinch of salt (can also add a TBS or 2 of @soaringfreesuperfoods Vanilla Dream Shake powder for extra flavor and nutritional boost. To make it more decadent, add a handful of goji berries and some nuts such as walnuts). Pour smoothie into glass (on top of chia pudding). Top with granola and fresh fruit. Enjoy outside in the sun 😎
P.S. Most people don’t like the flavour of carob, but I almost guarantee that you will love it in this smoothie! Carob has a delicious malted taste, is high in fiber, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals (containing more calcium than cocoa), and contains no caffeine (unlike cacao).
